Trisha Lerato Mpofu has over 6 years experience in Biotechnology and Consulting. Currently, Lerato is the founder of a personal care formulating company, Whimsical Sienna, a scientifically driven and health conscious hair care and skin care brand.
Additionally, Lerato designs and facilitates processes at both a local and international level and has worked on several long-term multi-stakeholder the areas of social justice, leadership development, organisational strategy, diversity and inclusion, HIV/AIDS and conservation and national scenarios as a Senior Associate with Reos Partners a social impact company that partners with multi-stakeholder groups worldwide who are seeking to make systemic change on pressing societal issues.

Lerato is passionate about the African continent and the possibilities it holds and is deeply committed to supporting the continent’s development through entrepreneurship and creating spaces of rigorous dialogue that create new relationships and partnerships for action.

Professional achievements include being selected as a Mandela Washington Fellow (2023) in the Leadership in Business Track which saw her completing a Business Programme at Clark Atlanta University in the US. University Degrees include a MSc in Biotechnology (2021) with distinction, obtained at Rhodes University. University achievements include being awarded the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship (2016) and being selected as one of South Africa’s Brightest Young Minds (2016).
